THE RESEARCH ide _ The persistence of the UFO pheno- menon, and its worldwide occurrence, have led a growing number of scien- tists to involve themselves in UFO research. The first organized study was conducted for the U. S. Air Force by Battelle Memorial Institute in 1953.
