THE LiS BCUREUILS OBJECT On June 12, 1960, between 3 and 4 a.m., EDT, a sonic boom rocked the area around Suebec City. At about the same time, or as nearly as can be determined, a firey object fell out of the sky, splitting, at about one or two thousand feet altitude, into two nieces. Cne was somewhat larger than the other. Both of them fell into the St. Lawrence River, near Les Zcureuils, about twenty miles up river from Quebec City.
